Custom Built Lobster Trap Frames

We can do custom framing from Lobster Trap Wood for your photos, canvas, or virtually any artwork you have, great for beach decor. Each year we collect wood from the local fishermen in the Florida Keys that do the lobstering. We take this wood, remove the debris, silt, and long staples to make it ready to use. We take care to leave all the staples on the top side. All the shells, barnacles, and other natural character on the wood we also leave because, we want to make each frame as authentic as a working trap. All custom picture frames we build by nature are different but all look amazing.

We can make ANY SIZE custom picture frames you may need. We have made them very small to over 8 feet long for over a couch. There are two different finishes we use. The natural dark wood and the white wash finish are the two that seem to work with any decor, especially beach decor, therefore you can choose which one works best for you.

When we do custom framing there are two styles of coastal frames we make. The “Single Slat” frame has one slat of lobster wood around the perimeter. The “Double Slat” frame has two slats around the perimeter and has a window box around where the image is. We did this to give the fame a three dimensional look.

When we do any custom framing, we can add authentic lobster trap rope to any frame at no additional charge. And of course, we can put a lobster or stone crab tag on the face of the frame if you choose.
